Airgas is hiring for a Plant Manager in Dayton, OH! We are looking for you!

Job duties:

• Operate medium-sized Airgas facilities safely and reliably by complying with regulatory requirements, developing and leading personnel, managing costs effectively, and developing personal skills and competencies.
• Support, complete, and maintain all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and documentation as required.
• The Plant Manager is ultimately accountable and responsible for site safety including employees, contractors, visitors, and neighbors.
• Meet and advance company safety standards, demonstrate strong safety leadership and commitment, and implement and maintain the training matrix and Airgas University training for the site.
• Guide the stewardship of Key Operating Documents, maintain updated red-lines at all times, and display a detailed understanding of content and significance of each document.
• Make plant and process decisions, perform process troubleshooting, establish clear delegation of this authority to trained team members, foster positive customer and intercompany department relationships, deliver the quality and quantity of product required by the business, and execute predictive and preventive maintenance to ensure long-term reliability and safety and minimize unplanned maintenance.
• Develop annual maintenance plans and turn-around planning as needed and collaborate with the team to maintain high housekeeping standards to exemplify and improve the company image.
• Operate the facility in compliance with all local and federal governmental regulations and company policies.
• Maintain and comply with all necessary licenses and permits, provide all regulatory training and maintain documentation, report and investigate all incidents and ensure corrective actions are complete.
• Keep plant hazard analysis current and display thorough knowledge of possible hazards and associated safeguards as well as adhere to Management of Change procedure.
• Ensure that all performance evaluations, hiring, promotions, and assignments are free of any form of discrimination;

• Commit to company policies, safety guidelines, and procedural standards, as well as focus on modeling exemplary safety behavior, leading by personal example, working to achieve "Zero Accidents" by fostering a collaborative culture in safety, implementing and ensuring compliance to the Qualification and Training program for Production Technicians.
• Conduct an annual performance review with each employee, implement individual development plans annually, and provide training and coaching to improve performance, provide thoughtful and collaborative input to management decisions and actively support those decisions as well as adhere to administrative and operational policies and procedures.
• Understand, monitor, and optimize operating costs within an authorized budget and the ability to identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs within delegated authorization. Participate in the Capital Planning Process and the Yearly Expense Budgeting Process.
• Control overtime within established limits and continuously improve efficiency and availability indicators and utilize national purchasing agreements and frame agreements.

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 years of mechanical maintenance and operations experience in the continuous process industry.
• Technical and working understanding of the Air Separation or Carbon Dioxide liquefaction plant process or applicable process plant industry experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, FDA…
