Project Manager or Estimator

Full Job Description

We are a General Contractor and Design-Builder headquartered in Dayton, Ohio and have built many of the most high-profile projects in the region. We are growing and are seeking a Project Manager or Estimator for commercial building construction projects. The person we hire will be managing projects of various sizes and complexity. This person will also supplement our estimating staff as we create hard-bid and design-build estimates.

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• A minimum of five years of experience in project management and/or estimating for commercial building construction projects. Experience that includes design-build projects is preferred.
• P.E. and LEED certifications are a plus.
• An ability to create and maintain project schedules. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software is preferred.
• Experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills. Strong oral and written skills are important and are considered essential skills.
• An ability to establish strong relationships with our clients, subcontractors and fellow employees.
• An ability to work with mathematical concepts as they relate to construction processes, the preparation of spreadsheets, and the performance of quantity takeoffs.
• An ability to multitask.
• An ability to define, investigate and solve problems.
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
• A strong work ethic.
