Role Description

EIC is actively hiring (3) Safety Coordinators ASAP to support ongoing data center construction projects in the Columbus, OH / Dayton, OH region.

This is a hands-on field safety role responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS standards, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements. The Safety Coordinator will play a key role in building and maintaining a strong safety culture across active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance on active job sites
• Conduct daily/regular jobsite safety inspections and audits
• Perform risk assessments and identify potential hazards
• Lead and document safety training and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations
• Develop corrective action plans and ensure follow-through
• Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across all crews
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and project safety requirements
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety / EHS / Occupational Safety required
• Strong background in construction or industrial safety preferred
• Experience with safety training and incident investigation
• Strong ability to assess risk and implement mitigation strategies
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
• OSHA certifications or other safety credentials strongly preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
