Role Description
EIC is actively hiring (3) Safety Coordinators ASAP to support ongoing data center construction projects in the Columbus, OH / Dayton, OH region.
This is a hands-on field safety role responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS standards, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements. The Safety Coordinator will play a key role in building and maintaining a strong safety culture across active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance on active job sites
- Conduct daily/regular jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Perform risk assessments and identify potential hazards
- Lead and document safety training and toolbox talks
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations
- Develop corrective action plans and ensure follow-through
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across all crews
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and project safety requirements
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
Qualifications
- Experience in Health & Safety / EHS / Occupational Safety required
- Strong background in construction or industrial safety preferred
- Experience with safety training and incident investigation
- Strong ability to assess risk and implement mitigation strategies
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- OSHA certifications or other safety credentials strongly preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
