PositionSenior Superintendent – Large Scale Fiber Installation Projects
Essential Responsibilities- Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations.
- Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules.
- Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
- Work knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project.
- Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
- Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
- 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
- Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
- Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub‑contractors.
- Problem‑solving abilities and capacity to anticipate and address issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
- This is a site‑based position that will require travel as needed to various Ledcor offices and project sites.
