Job SummaryChapel is currently hiring an experienced electrical Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for estimating contract work, interpreting construction documents, and predicting project costs. The individual will be responsible for representing the company in many aspects. This position works closely with Owners, Construction and Project Managers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.
- Complete estimate take‑off within time deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Accurately define project requirements.
- Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend pre‑bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work required.
- Assist in determining project resource requirements in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide liaison support to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all estimates submitted are as accurate and complete as possible.
- Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.
- Strong time management and detail orientation skills are required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 5+ years’ experience estimating.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills required.
- Accu Bid experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize multiple projects and resource planning skills.
- Must demonstrate technical skills necessary for project engineering.
- Must work with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Must demonstrate commitment to company values.
