Living Dayton wants you to join our lifestyle team! Do you have a passion for uncovering the hidden gems and captivating stories that make Dayton unique? If so, we are searching for a Lifestyle Producer to join our team and work directly with our lifestyle show team members.
Living Dayton is a dynamic, daily one-hour lifestyle show airing on WDTN-TV, showcasing the best Miami Valley has to offer. This role involves shooting and editing video and packaged segments for Living Dayton and Nexstar special programs, as well as for digital and online use. The producer will run the rover camera in the studio during live broadcasts, help manage in-studio guests, operate camera/TVU for live shots outside the studio, and create full screens and teases for Living Dayton.
The producer will also work with our sales team to deliver seamless, energetic segments for clients and provide show timing and writing backup support for the Executive Producer.
This team member will help shoot and edit video and packaged segments, run the rover camera, manage in-studio guests, operate camera/TVU, create full screens and teases, deliver client segments, provide show timing and backup support, adapt to changes in show segments and guest scheduling, maintain a positive work environment, represent the station professionally, and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Skills- Bachelor's degree in broadcast, journalism, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company vehicle for on-location shoots with hosts, clients, and/or prospective guests
- Minimum of one year of experience operating video recording equipment
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere editing systems and After Effects software required
- Strong ability to manage deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to manage show timing and technical flow of Living Dayton from the control room, providing backup support as needed
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in show segments and guest scheduling
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive work environment through active team participation and collaboration across departments
- Maintain a professional image as a representative of the station at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Producer and General Manager
