Salary: $41,496.00 - $52,041.60 annually, commensurate with skills and experience

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Weatherization and Housing Services Intake Specialist to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking Weatherization and Housing Services and plays a vital role in determining program eligibility, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct customer interviews to determine eligibility for Weatherization and Housing Services programs.
  • Collect, review, verify, and process applications and supporting documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting clients throughout the application process.
  • Maintain accurate client records through timely and precise data entry into agency databases and web-based systems.
  • Review applications for completeness, accuracy, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor application status and communicate with clients regarding missing documentation and next steps.
  • Coordinate with internal staff, contractors, and community partners to support efficient program operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive client information.
  • Assist with reporting requirements and maintain organized electronic and paper files.
  • Support outreach efforts and promote available agency services within the community.
  • Perform additional administrative and program support duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in customer service, intake, administrative support, case management support, or a related office environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn agency software systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with public assistance programs, eligibility determination, or community-based services.
  • Experience using database management or intake software systems.
