• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
• Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable before, during, and after appointments.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intra‑oral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment.
• Provide chair‑side assistance to providers during treatment procedures.
• Document orthodontic care services by charting in patient records.
• Assist the orthodontist in assessing teeth and implementing treatment plans.
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including cleaning and adjusting orthodontic gear.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, patient‑centric environment.
• Must be able to travel between Dayton and West Chester locations.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook).

• Six or more months of practical experience as an orthodontic assistant.
• CPR or BCLS certification.
• Completion of a CODA‑accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Quick learner with problem‑solving skills.
• Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc.
• Proficiency in fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking accurate impressions.
• Desire to learn new skills and be a team player.
• Commitment to punctuality and reliability.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire for professional growth.
• Organized and knowledgeable in dentistry and dental terminology.
• Must be able to travel between Dayton and West Chester locations.
