Neurologist, Movement Disorders – Premier Physician Network

Wright State University and Premier Physician Network have entered into an enhanced affiliation agreement that will transform healthcare delivery in the Miami Valley and beyond. As part of this collaboration, Wright State’s Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Physician Network are seeking neurologists with expertise in Movement Disorders to enhance clinical care, research, and education within our interdisciplinary Clinical Neuroscience Institute.

In this role the physician will provide pre‑ and post‑surgical evaluations for Deep Brain Stimulation, participate in an established Movement Disorder clinic, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to teaching and scholarly activity. The applicant will be a BC/BE neurologist with subspecialty interest in Movement Disorders, preferably board certified or in the process of obtaining certification.

Essential Functions
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations for Deep Brain Stimulation and other movement disorder therapies.
  • Provide ongoing clinical care in an established clinic setting.
  • Collaborate with neurology, neuropsychology, functional neurosurgery and other specialists within the Clinical Neuroscience Institute.
  • Support teaching of neurology residents and contribute to academic programs.
  • Participate in case conferences, journal clubs, and research projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Board certified or board eligible in Clinical Neurology.
  • Specific board certification in Movement Disorders or plan to obtain certification shortly.
  • Comfort with pre‑ and post‑surgical evaluations for Deep Brain Stimulation.
  • Strong communication, diplomacy, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with a high‑volume movement disorder clinic.
  • Active engagement in research and scholarly activity.
  • Teaching experience with medical residents or fellows.
Working Conditions

This position is located within the Premier Physician Network and affiliated with the Boonshoft School of Medicine. Call coverage will be competitive and primarily performed from home; general neurology coverage will be handled by a separate stroke team. All locations are equipped with state‑of‑the‑art imaging, laboratory, and EMR systems.
