We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment at a hospital-based Level I Trauma Center
. This is a full-time, weekday-only position in a high-acuity, high-volume operating room environment. The assignment runs from August 10 through November 16, 2026
, with no call, no weekends, and no pain clinic responsibilities.

The physician will provide anesthesia services across a broad patient population ranging from neonatal to adult
, working both independently and in a care team model supervising CRNAs.

• Provide anesthesia care for general surgical cases across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations
• Manage complex cases including:
  • Thoracic surgery (excluding open heart)
  • Complex orthopedic procedures
  • Neurosurgical cases
• Perform and manage ventilation and airway care
• Insert and manage arterial lines (preferred)
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Supervise CRNAs in a care team model, as well as practice solo when needed
• Deliver pediatric anesthesia services to all subspecialties except cardiac surgery and transplant surgery

• Board Certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required)
• Active OH medical license (highly preferred)
• Current certifications:
  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (required)
  • PALS (required)
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Neonatal, pediatric, and adult anesthesia
  • Thoracic, neurosurgical, and complex orthopedic cases
• Self-Query NPDB (pulled within one month at time of application)
• Must meet established rate requirements

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 0700–1530
• Dates: August 10 – November 16, 2026
• Call: None
• Weekends: None

• Strong pediatric anesthesia expertise across multiple surgical subspecialties
• Ability to manage high-acuity cases in a fast-paced OR environment
• Effective leadership and communication when supervising CRNAs
• Clinical adaptability within a large, multidisciplinary surgical team
• Excellent airway and ventilation management skills

• ACS Level I Trauma Center
• Number of Beds: 181
• 14 operating rooms
• 22 anesthesiologists in the practice
• Approximately 50–60 surgical cases per day
• Annual ER volume of 70,000
• Collegial, team-oriented environment with experienced RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, and APPs

• Pay Rate: $350/Hr
• Travel expenses reimbursed, including:
  • Mileage at the IRS standard rate
  • Rental car

• Malpractise Covered
