Position Overview:

The 7-12 School Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services to students in grades 7-12. The counselor will address academic, social-emotional, and career development needs, collaborate with families, staff, and community resources, and support the district's direction

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individual and group counseling focused on academic guidance, career planning, and social-emotional development.

* Assist students in goal-setting, course selection, and post-secondary planning.

* Identify and support students facing personal, social, or academic challenges.

* Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

* Facilitate programs on topics such as conflict resolution, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and college/career readiness.

* Facilitate tasks that are state requirements

* Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations regarding student information.

* Participate in school and district committees to promote a positive school climate and student well-being.

Qualifications:

* Valid Ohio School Counselor License.

* Strong understanding of adolescent development and evidence-based counseling practices.

* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

* Experience with academic planning, career counseling, and social-emotional support preferred.
