Chemistry Teacher

Greeneview High School is looking for a High School Chemistry Teacher. A comprehensive science (7-12) license is preferred. This position will teach General Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. Depending upon enrollment, other classes may be assigned - to include teaching a science elective, providing science and/or math intervention in our Bridge Alternative Program, and/or a duty period.

* The ability to effectively plan and teach lessons that support and extend the New State Learning Standards and meet the needs of all learners

* The ability to make and carry out long-range instructional and program planning

* An understanding of best practices for quality instruction and student achievement

* The ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate learners with multiple ability levels in the regular classroom and small group settings

* The ability and willingness to work as part of a team of classroom teachers and administrators to plan how to best meet the needs of students

* The ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and teachers

* The ability to keep accurate and thorough records

* A record of consistently managing paperwork and handling work assignments in a timely manner
