What You'll Do:
* Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals, including state curriculum and expanded core areas (communication, self-determination, advocacy, technology, career education, and family education).
* Implement best practices to support student participation, academic achievement, and social inclusion.
Assist multidisciplinary teams with eligibility evaluations for students with hearing loss.
* Provide direct IEP services and support school personnel in implementing accommodations.
* Evaluate and document student progress, sharing results with team members.
* Teach students to use and care for assistive devices in the classroom, home, and community.
* Serve as a resource to teachers and staff, resolving participation-related issues.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and timely reporting.
What You'll Bring:
* Required Ohio State Board of Education credentials.
* Knowledge of pedagogy, hearing intervention strategies, and assistive technology.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
* Commitment to high-performance standards and maintaining confidentiality.
* Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
