Job Summary: The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks an innovative and creative Intervention Specialist elementary level teacher for . The role maximizes learning for students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills, and daily living. Responsibilities include implementing district‑approved curriculum, documenting progress, addressing student needs, and creating a safe learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree by start date
- Teaching license or alternative license secured by start date
- Outstanding communication and collaborative skills
- Master’s degree
- Experience as a K‑3 grade teacher
- Experience with project‑based learning instructional strategies
- Evaluate students to identify strengths and needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success.
- Monitor and report progress regularly.
- Coordinate with external agencies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Use data to guide and refine interventions.
- Maintain contact and communication with parents and students, supporting their development.
- Utilize instructional resources and technologies and contribute to school improvement.
- Engage in reflection on teaching practices and adapt methods as needed.
- Participate in leadership activities and be a team player.
- Participate in curriculum development during employment.
Contract length is one year, contingent upon funding. Candidates may be subject to a criminal background check as per university policy.
