Horizon Science Academy is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to lead our elementary classroom and support the school's mission.

• Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians, and coworkers.
• Design and effectively deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction based on individual child observations and goals.
• Establish a classroom culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all students.
• Work with faculty and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of instruction and assessment.
• Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate to improve instructional and assessment practices.
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student progress.
• Maintain a classroom environment that is organized, attractive, and safe.
• Interact frequently and respectfully with students.

• Highly qualified in content area.
• Uses data to drive instruction.
• Open to feedback and eager to grow professionally.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to go above and beyond.
• Highly organized.

• Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree.
• Valid Ohio teaching certificate/license, or in the process of obtaining one in the subject area to be taught.

Salary: $40,000 to $60,000 per year.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage. Employees participate in Ohio STRS state retirement system. Tuition reimbursement available up to $3,000 per year.
