Industrial and Systems Engineering Technology - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty
The Sinclair Industrial and Systems Engineering Technology program concentrates on the latest methods for making businesses more productive and profitable. As American businesses strive to be more competitive in today’s global marketplace, they need professionals who can work more efficiently and reduce costs. The department seeks part‑time (adjunct) faculty to teach daytime courses to high school and middle school students within the Sinclair ecosystem.
Flex Factor is a student‑led, project‑based curriculum that engages students in careers in STEM and Advanced Manufacturing, covering problem identification, product design and ideation, business modeling, and presentation creation and delivery.
Salary:
Adjunct Faculty are paid $1,016 per credit hour assigned to teach. Work is limited to Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky residents or those able to work within one of these states.

- Teach curriculum developed by the department
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
- Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and use instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Cannot be assigned to teach more than 12 credit hours per semester
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in the content area
- Minimum three years of work experience in the field or industry
- Preferred: widely accepted credential, license, or certification in the field or industry
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work in a culturally diverse community
- Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
