Adjunct – School of Professional Psychology (Fall 2025 - Summer 2026)

Position open for adjunct teaching positions for Fall 2025 through Summer 2026 semesters in Professional Psychology discipline. Applicants with academic and performance qualifications for the ranks of adjunct instructor through adjunct professor encouraged to apply.

Job Summary

WSU’s School of Professional Psychology in the College of Health, Education, and Human Services is hiring adjunct faculty to teach Professional Psychology courses. Responsibilities include delivering instruction via didactics, clinical, and simulation experiences in both in‑person and online formats.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree from an APA‑accredited institution.
  • Professional experience or academic qualifications covering subject matter taught within Professional Psychology.
  • Applicant must possess an academic degree one level above the level at which they will teach, except in terminal degree programs where the degree must be the same level.
  • If teaching outside field of their advanced degree, adjuncts must have completed at least 18 graduate‑level credit hours of instruction in the field in which they teach.
  • At least one year of professional or teaching experience unless otherwise noted in program‑specific qualifications.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the college’s mission of integrating diversity into all aspects of its programs.
Essential Functions
  • Teaching via didactics, clinical, and/or simulation experiences – varying between in‑person and online synchronous and asynchronous – 100% of time.
Working Conditions

Standard university workplace environment. Background checks and compliance with university policies are required.
