The Middle School Spanish Faculty must be a passionate and skillful teacher, who is eager to invest their talents in our world language program. They must establish a supportive and engaging environment for middle school students (grades 6-8) and Spanish I upper school students. This faculty member must demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, work collaboratively with colleagues and parents, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate teaching proficiency and comfort with a variety of different teaching and learning styles.

In addition, this teacher will have completed coursework or possess teaching experience in Spanish, and they should be committed to the ACTFL language proficiency standards and have a passion for sharing Spanish‑speaking cultures as manifested in music, films, cuisine, art and literature.

As we continue to develop the MVS Immersion Method, you will be part of a team that is enhancing professional learning nationwide and becoming a thought leader for immersive learning experiences that stretch beyond the traditional school experience. Here, you and your team will integrate academics, hands‑on activities, and scholarly habits via cross‑curricular designs and models of learning.
• Couple Academic Rigor with Increased Accessibility. Through your intentional planning and development of coursework, our students will explore their unique learning needs, utilize critical thinking, and begin to think about and create solutions for today’s pressing challenges.

In your role teaching at MVS, you will work alongside dedicated faculty who have taught and learned all over the world and in a variety of school contexts. • And, of course, you will get to Teach! As a middle school Spanish teacher you will get to teach multiple levels of middle school Spanish and upper school Spanish I.
