Science of ReadingBeavercreek City Schools is committed to meeting the requirements of the State of Ohio as outlined in Ohio Revised Code requiring districts to use the science of reading for literacy instruction. "Science of Reading" is defined in the law as an interdisciplinary body of scientific evidence that informs how students learn to read and write proficiently.
Professional DevelopmentAny employees new to the district will be guided on what professional development to complete based on your teaching assignment and a timeline for completion.
- Ohio's Introduction to SOR Course Pathways
- Bachelor's Degree: $47,832 to $72,623; based on prior teacher verification, experience, and training.
- Master's Degree: $56,719 to $88,327; based on prior teacher verification, experience, and training.
Included in the 184 Day Contract is a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as paid personal leave and sick leave.
