Job Description
Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a School Psychologistfor the school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. The Springfield City School District values the racial, ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of our student body, faculty and staff.
Our academic and extracurricular aim is to ensure social and emotional learning growth for students with a wealth of opportunity, including a 1:1 initiative and the You Media Center, which is a digital learning lab offering students activities such as 3-D printing, graphic design, and videography. We are Wildcats!
As a School Psychologist you are required to:
- Master's Degree and Ohio School Psychologist license
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience/training in assessment, consultation, and counseling of preschool age and/or school age children
- Experience with a Multi-Tiered System of Support for all students
- Valid Ohio administrative license or certificate appropriate for the assignment

topromote workplace safety, employees are expected to exercise caution and comply with district procedures to reduce exposure to the following situations:
- Duties that require operating and/or riding in a vehicle
- Duties that require traveling to meetings and work assignments
- Duties that require working 20 total extended days before and after the school year
- Exposure to adverse weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes
- Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, and communicable diseases
- Interactions with aggressive, disruptive, and /or unruly individuals
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, School Psychologist work
183days per year with a possibility of 20extended days and 7.25hours per day.
Starting salaryis in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and addition, Springfield is also able to offer a $10,000.00 retention compensation to all School Psychologist.
Please note:
The salary will be prorated based on your start date and the number of remaining contracted days left in the school year.

The Springfield Education Association and the Board of Education are currently working on a new professional agreement. While that is in the works, please refer to the current agreement as to pay and benefits that are in place for the 2023-26school year.
