Intervention Specialist for Middle/High School ED Classroom
Position
Description:
Manage classroom and implements appropriate programs
Develop and implements IEPs
Conduct and participate in team meetings
Supervise classroom assistants
Essential Functions:
Ensure safety of students
Develop schedules and lesson plans for classroom appropriate to student's IEPs
Develop and implement behavior management plans
Communicate with classroom assistants necessary information for student program implementation
Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning
Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
Demonstrate a positive work ethic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
Appropriate State of Ohio teaching license (Intervention Specialist)
Experience and/or training which evidences the ability to instruct students with severe behavioral challenges
