Preschool Intervention Specialist

Seeking applicants with Ohio Early Childhood Intervention Specialist teaching license who have the ability to teach the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards using developmentally appropriate practices.

Major responsibilities, partial list:

Develops measurable educational goals and objectives based on assessment data and progress monitoring documentation.

Knowledgeable about co-teaching, universal education and co-treating strategies.

Participates in school-wide professional development programs and activities.

Communicates with parents and guardians of assigned students daily/weekly.

Maintains records regarding student progress that is aligned with common core state standards.

Provides a variety of instructional experiences for all students based on individual needs and on-going data/progress monitoring.

Qualifications, partial list:

Valid Ohio teaching license (Pre-Kindergarten Special Needs/Early Childhood of the Handicapped)

Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.

Collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Training and understanding of Early Learning Content Standards, assessments, and child development.

Educational technology skills.

Salary:
According to the approved teacher salary schedule.
