The Greater Dayton School (GDS) is one of the most innovative schools in America. Our mission is to provide world-class schooling to kids from low-income communities. We are looking for a founding middle school Science Lab teacher for our Dayton, Ohio campus.

Do you have an undergraduate degree and at least two years of teaching experience? As a private school, we don't require teaching licenses.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Teach 4th-8th grade students in science adaptive curriculum and science lab.
- Set up the Science Lab (currently there are no materials, only a science lab classroom)
- Lead a sport/club from 3-4p (after school time is part of our school day)
Character Traits and
Preferred Experience:
- Supremely organized and collaborative
- At least 2 years of teaching PreK-8 (experience in low-income schools preferred)
- Expertise in teaching: classroom management, pedagogy, lesson planning
Compensation:
Base salary - $60,000-$64,000 (3 year contract + annual raises)
Hours:
8a-5p (10 month teacher work calendar, 2 months paid vacation)
