Centerville High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our Allied Health CTE Program for the first semester (Aug. 10-Dec. 18, 2026) of the upcoming school year. This position offers a unique opportunity to inspire and prepare high school students for careers in the healthcare field through engaging, hands‑on instruction.
Position OverviewThe successful candidate will teach courses within the Allied Health CTE pathway, with primary instructional responsibilities in Phlebotomy and Patient Care Technician (PCT). Students in these courses gain foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary for entry‑level healthcare careers and postsecondary education.
Instruction includes both classroom learning and laboratory‑based, hands‑on experiences that reflect real‑world healthcare settings.
The candidate preferably would possess experience working in the healthcare field, preferably as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or other allied health professional.
Compensation for this position will be $145 per day for the first 10 days then increasing to $249 per day until the 61st day when full fringe benefits will be available and additional compensation will be awarded for up to 7 years of previous teaching experience.
