Purpose

The High School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standard‑aligned math instruction that promotes academic achievement and student growth. This role fosters a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment while preparing students with the critical thinking and problem‑solving skills needed for future success.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, standard-aligned math lessons that promote student achievement.
  • Create a positive, safe, and well‑managed classroom environment that supports learning and student well‑being.
  • Monitor student progress using assessments and data to adjust instruction and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and school staff to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate student records, participate in professional development, and contribute to a positive school culture.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; valid teaching certification/licensure preferred.
  • Experience teaching high school mathematics with strong classroom management and instructional skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and the ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
  • Passion for supporting diverse learners, fostering student success, and contributing to a collaborative school environment.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Dayton, OH.
