Job Description:
Energetic and self-motivated Instructor Assistant to help create memorable, positive learning experiences. Working directly with the STARBASE Wright‑Patt Director, Deputy Director, and Program Instructors, you will support classroom management and daily STEM instruction. This is an Employee‑At‑Will position contingent upon continued DoD funding. Please note that this is a specialized DoD outreach role and is a separate entity from regular classroom teacher assistant positions regarding salary and leave.
Key Responsibilities- Support Instruction
:
Assist 5th‑grade students with the DoD STARBASE STEM curriculum using a collaborative co‑teaching model. - Manage Classrooms
:
Set up, tear down, and inventory lesson materials routinely to keep shared classrooms organized. - Build Rapport
:
Maintain a fun, professional relationship with participating students, visiting classroom teachers, and staff. - Assist Camps
:
Provide instruction and operational support for summer camp participants as assigned. - Represent the Program
:
Participate in at least two community outreach events, such as Tech Fest or the STEM Hoopla Challenge.
Salary: $171.76/day plus benefits
