Working Days: Monday - Friday
Hours of Work: 19 hours per week
Compensation: Educational Associate 1 ($13.62+) per hour starting Based on years of experience in a school-based setting per OAPSE Local #367 negotiated agreement Limited Contract
Job Summary:
- Educational Associate 1's work with students by providing supervision during lunch and/or recess. Qualified candidates will provide supervision, behavior and transition support to a individuals or groups of students.
Minimum Qualifications For Educational Associate 1:
- Must obtain ODE Educational Aide Permit, First Aid and CPR Certification
- Ability to use technology to complete on-line training modules as required by District Policy and ORC
- Be able to actively engage with students in a variety of activities sitting, standing, walking
- Must possess sufficient physical ability to perform necessary lifting, lift and carry 50 lbs
Qualifications Preferred For Educational Associate 1:
- Experience working with children in an unstructured educational setting
- Understanding of behavior supports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Foster positive relationships and personal connections with individual students
- Actively supervise small and large groups of students during unstructured activities to include lunch and recess
