Various Montgomery County & Surrounding Schools Full Time Contract Days: 185 Salary: $59,652.00
Description:
Serve as a part of our Prevention Team in our Integrated Support Services Division, delivering specific prevention and postvention programs and mental wellness services to students, staff, and families. Services include:
Prevention K-12 programming; vaping education, suicide prevention, alcohol & drug education, elementary drug resistance skills, cyberbullying education Student risk assessment and intervention Positive Parenting Program Community partner collaboration for student mental wellness Professional development for staff
Candidates will be expected to:
Participate in training for the specified prevention program curriculum. Collaborate with local districts to coordinate, implement, support, and assess assigned prevention programs. Provide programming to students across various age and grade levels. Assist with additional prevention-related initiatives as necessary. Pursue continuous training and professional development in prevention education and social-emotional learning. Commit to obtaining prevention certification. Function as a flexible member of the prevention team.
Enhance and support the Social Emotional Learning Division to address the needs of local schools and students.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and/or a prevention specialist certification. Satisfactory results on fingerprinting and criminal records check. (Provided for free by MCESC) A desire to support positive prevention programming for local youth.
