The Sinclair Nursing Program has proudly graduated over 6,600 students since its inception in 1969. Known for its high quality and excellent reputation, the program has helped its graduates build successful nursing careers. Additionally, the program offers advanced placement for Licensed Practical Nurses and individuals with specific military training.

Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty toteach face-to-face in the evenings at the Dayton campus. The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach.

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
• Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
• Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester

• Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing is required for teaching classroom instruction
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing is required for teaching clinical instruction
• Must possess and maintain Ohio Registered Nurse Licensurerequired
• Current CPR certification and up to date immunization records required for clinical instruction
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the courseand program level
• Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills withthe capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community
• Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
