Preschool Itinerant Teacher

The Preschool Itinerant Teacher is responsible for coaching and mentoring general education children as well as children who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) before they enter elementary school. This multi-age Teacher will evaluate children's skills and functional capabilities, and modify lesson plans to meet individual needs. This teacher will also work on social skills to help children enter an integrated learning environment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Planning, writing, and maintaining IEPS
- Creating differentiated lesson plans to meet all educational needs
- Completing all State required paperwork for Preschool students
- Facilitating State mandated assessments
- Communicating with parents
- Attending building meetings and Professional Development opportunities
- Attending training that are required for Preschool Teachers
- Performing other duties as assigned
