Educational Aide

The Preble County ESC is seeking qualified applicants to serve as an educational aide in our ED classroom program. This is a full-time (school days) position with a start date of August 2025. Under immediate supervision, provide assistance to the teachers of students in ED program in preparation and presentation of activities, supervision, and fulfilling behavior management plan directives.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure safety of students
• Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
• Interact in a positive manner with students, staff, parents and administrators
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of teacher planned activities
• Supervise and monitor student in all school settings based on behavioral management plans
• Work with other ED staff in team decision making
• Assist students in creation of recovery plans based on behavior management plans developed by teachers/supervisors
• Assist in completion of necessary documentation and paperwork for charting behavior and academic progress
• Attend work regularly and punctually
• Demonstrate positive work ethic

Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Work with students with behavioral difficulties
• Ohio Educational Aide certificate
• Clear background check
• Physically capable to apply CPI techniques when necessary for student/staff safety
