Are you a highly skilled mechanic ready to advance your aviation career? As a Structural Technician IV, you will:
- Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and perform minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming.
- Update job status on our operations database.
- Translate blueprints into fabrication of structural assemblies, including basic layout, precision drilling, countersinking and use of calibrated tools.
- Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
- Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate changes into the structure.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Perform various maintenance duties and ensure appropriate representation and communication among team members, team leads, quality control and engineering.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch
- Advanced experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable
- Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Ability to travel
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA or US Military
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
