Field/Service Technician
DropletAI Services focuses on industrial and warehouse automation integration across movement, picking, sorting, and related execution workflows. We support customers from solution deployment and system integration to onsite implementation, commissioning, go-live, and long-term service operations. Our work is execution-driven and field-oriented.
Responsibilities- Execute onsite deployment, commissioning, testing, and go-live support for automation projects involving AMRs, AGVs, autonomous forklifts, conveyors, and sortation systems
- Troubleshoot equipment, system, network, interface, and operational issues in field environments and drive them to resolution
- Coordinate with customers, partners, project managers, and internal teams to move projects forward
- Produce daily site reports, issue logs, test records, acceptance documentation, and SOPs
- Support post-go-live stabilization, inspections, issue handling, and customer service activities
- Represent the company or project partner professionally at customer sites when required
- Follow customer site safety, process, and compliance requirements
- Background in automation, mechatronics, robotics, electrical, controls, industrial engineering, material handling, IT, or related fields
- Prior experience in field deployment, after-sales service, commissioning, maintenance, or project delivery is preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred:
- Strong troubleshooting ability, execution discipline, and field communication skills
- Able to handle high travel frequency and work onsite for extended periods
- Professional working proficiency in English,
Chinese, Korean, or Spanish language skills would be a strong plus. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, 3PL, or factory automation environments
- Chinese or Spanish language skills
- Customer-facing and cross-functional coordination experience
- Ability to read electrical diagrams, network topology, or interface documentation
- Strong ownership and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
- Someone willing to solve real problems in the field, not just coordinate from behind a desk
- A professional with accountability for delivery, execution, and customer support
- Comfortable with startup pace, high responsibility, and practical execution
- Able to remain effective and solution-oriented in changing project conditions
- Comfortable with a high-travel role and aligned with a regionally optimized coverage model when possible
Frequent interstate travel is expected. Long-term onsite assignments may be required depending on project needs, with occasional international support when necessary.
To make this model more sustainable, we aim to hire near long-term project locations whenever possible and, where practical, assign employees to projects closer to their home base or regular coverage region. Current long-term project hiring location is @Dayton.
