Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Visual Database Modeler to join our dynamic Visual Team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining visual representations of out-the-window and sensor databases that incorporate satellite imagery, terrain, and 3D moving models—including naval vessels, threat, and friendly aircraft—to support national security simulation and test initiatives.
You will work closely with senior visual system specialists, software developers, scenario developers, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective visual database solutions that enhance high-fidelity flight simulation and test environments. Additionally, you will perform data analysis and contribute to the optimization of existing visual database frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate, high-quality visual representations of complex imagery databases.
- Create realistic 3-D models of aircraft, ground vehicles, hangars, weapons, control towers, etc.
- Work with software and scenario development teams to integrate visual database models into simulation applications.
- Collaborate with senior architects and system specialists to design and refine data modeling solutions.
- Document database designs, visual standards, and modeling guidelines for internal use.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphics, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, Gaming Development/Design or a related field (preferred).
- Experience using modeling and visualization tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Maya, Blender, or similar 3D animation/modeling software.
- Fundamental understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and design principles.
- Strong analytical and visual skills with an eye for graphic detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience with geospatial data, terrain modeling, or satellite imagery integration.
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other game dev/design tools.
- Exposure to real-time simulation systems or defense-related visualization projects.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and data visualization pipelines.
Salary Range: 55K-70K and will commensurate with experience
