Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Our client is an innovative manufacturing company redefining the built world through advanced structural solutions. They are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead steel connection design and provide technical leadership across complex building and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who enjoys independent design work, technical ownership, and close collaboration with fabrication and construction partners.

• Lead and independently design steel connections from concept through completion
• Review, check, and correct steel design, shop, and fabrication drawings
• Perform and validate engineering calculations using sound judgment and best practices
• Coordinate technical efforts with fabricators, subcontractors, and external partners
• Collaborate with internal engineering, fabrication, and installation teams
• Maintain documentation to support code compliance and QA/QC standards
• Support R&D initiatives for new steel and FRP structural products
• Travel occasionally to job sites or partner facilities (up to 10%)
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork

• 7+ years of experience in civil or structural engineering design
• Extensive experience in steel and steel connection design
• Proven ability to independently develop steel connections
• Strong background reviewing detailed steel drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (structural software experience a plus)
• Working knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, and related codes
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
