Job DescriptionHuntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking a qualified candidate for:
Project Manager, Organizational Support. The ideal candidate has a solid administrative background with specific strengths in decision-making, customer relationships and coordination, organization, space management, creating training projects and rapid solutions involving multiple groups/organizations. This position will work closely with stakeholders (internal and external) to rapidly advance mission support through organization, planning and resourcing. This individual must be able to work with technical experts to define requirements and manage resources efficiently to include subcontractors.
- Outstanding ability to proactively communicate via telephone, text and email with stakeholders in remote locations
- Proven demonstration of the ability to identify the sufficient level of detail needed to make significant project decisions and quantify and communicate that rationale to stakeholders
- Tireless focus on the mission and making capabilities development and test execution a reality
- Lead transition and organizational activities that sustain and grow organizational culture across multiple locations
- Desired operations, acquisition, and test background: understanding operations vernacular, acquisition process, and test environment and controls to communicate across communities
- Innovative and strategic mindset to identify future capabilities and requirements that can/should be integrated into near‑term solutions
This position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio and is within a commutable distance from Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside.

Responsible for providing mission support to include Project Management (PM) oversight to a single customer requiring coordination of project requirements across planning stages with several subcontractors. Directs all phases of projects from inception through completion. Create and implement a training project to support an aggressive growth strategy. Acts as primary customer contact for project activities and training, leading project and training review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies project problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the project while focusing on employee morale and welfare for the overall organization.
- Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance with enhanced security checks. - Coordinate with Program Manager and Project Managers for development and management of project budgets; responsible for the overall status and distribution of funding across prioritized projects
- Work closely with Project Control support for invoice review, forecasting, and program milestones
- In conjunction with Program and Project Managers, develop capability roadmaps to identify schedule for funding needs/plan
This position is available at multiple levels. Candidates will be evaluated and placed at the appropriate level (Junior, Mid, or Senior) based on education and relevant experience.
Project Management Analyst Junior: 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
Project Management Analyst Mid: 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
Project Management Analyst Senior: 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
