Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII‑MT) is seeking Systems Engineers at junior, mid, and senior levels to support advanced work in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). The role is based at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, within commuting distance of Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside.

• Assist with technical planning, system integration, and verification within a digital engineering framework, supporting senior engineers.
• Convert product requirements into systems solutions using SysML and other modeling tools.
• Participate in functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies to support hardware and software specifications.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop system models and support project goals.
• For mid‑level engineers: lead portions of technical planning, model development, integration, and verification activities; lead complex efforts across the full system lifecycle; mentor less experienced team members.

• 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 0 years with a Master’s; or 6 years with a high‑school diploma.
• Academic background or project experience with MBSE principles.
• Familiarity with SysML; interest in learning digital engineering tools (Cameo, Sparx, Rhapsody).
• Basic knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle.
• Clearance:
  Secret security clearance required to start.

• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or other analysis/scripting tools.
• Hands‑on experience with test, integration, and verification of hardware and software.
• Strong desire to contribute to technical documentation and system models.
• Experience supporting planning and execution of Systems Engineering activities across cross‑functional teams.

Office or industrial environment; capable of climbing ladders, tolerating confined spaces, and extreme temperature variations; lifting and moving materials may be required.

The listed salary range for this role is $72,254.00–$ based on location, experience, and responsibilities.
