Flight Test Manager Subject Matter Expert
MTSI is seeking a Flight Test Manager Subject Matter Expert in Dayton, Ohio. The role provides test management support for new and ongoing flight test projects for an Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Program Management Office at Wright‑Patterson AFB. The successful candidate will develop, plan, resource, manage, execute, analyze, and report on aircraft system and subsystem flight test, with a strong background in testing electronic warfare systems and subsystems.
Experience with the Nevada Test and Training Range and classified communications is required.
- Manage and support execution of all program test activities, including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of ground and flight test projects on behalf of the PMO Chief of Test.
- Coordinate and support flight and ground test operations on the NTTR, including scheduling, logistics, and execution.
- Plan, move, and secure (shipping and transportation) test resources and personnel throughout the U.S.
- Acquire required accesses to test locations, materials, and programs for vendor and test community personnel in coordination with security leaders.
- Work in austere locations with limited communications access as required.
- Establish secure Video Teleconferences (VTC) with multiple Test Integrated Product Team organizations and members.
- Provide support to the WPAFB and local IT experts in maintaining secure IT systems and networks.
- Update and manage all program office test documentation, including test plans, priorities, schedules, memorandums, and reports.
- Coordinate and host large test planning working groups and other technical interchanges.
- Serve as the day‑to‑day liaison between the PMO and supporting test, intelligence, and technology organizations.
- Apply systems, test, and engineering expertise to projects and advise project leads on test engineering matters.
- Support the Program Senior Material Leader and staff in executive-level interactions, reviews, inspections, conferences, and milestone events.
- Manage interactions and cultivate relationships between the program office, government offices, contractors, and higher headquarters staff.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) work/test experience.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the last five (5) years.
- Master of Arts, Master of Science, or Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree.
- Graduation from the USAF (or other Service) Test Pilot School or Weapons School is highly desired but not required.
- Top‑Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
