Position Overview
Sky Bridge Aviation is seeking experienced Avionics Technician III professionals to support advanced aerospace and defense programs. This role is responsible for performing avionics maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair in accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components
- Perform wiring installation, routing, termination, and repairs per technical drawings
- Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical publications
- Utilize avionics tooling for soldering, crimping, and system integration
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Support inspection and maintenance activities on aircraft systems and equipment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Typically 5 or more years of avionics experience or related field
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
- Advanced experience with avionics installation, wiring, soldering, and crimping
- Ability to route wires and complete installations per engineering specifications
- Must provide own tools in good working condition
- FCC certification or familiarity with FCC GROL
- Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrometers, or pitot static systems
- Background in aerospace, defense, or military aviation environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance if required
- Frequently walking, standing, sitting, and climbing stairs or steps
- Repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements requiring strong dexterity
- Visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation
- Ability to distinguish sounds and varying noise levels
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, and weather conditions
- Exposure to fumes, hazardous materials, and loud noise environments
- Safety sensitive role involving aircraft systems, equipment, and hazardous materials
Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
