Position: Systems Engineer III with Security Clearance

As a Systems Engineer III, you will handle advanced tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification & Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Responsibilities:
* Handle advanced tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.

* Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts.

* Take on significant project responsibilities and guide junior engineers.

* Demonstrate expertise in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.

* Communicate and collaborate effectively to drive project success.

* Mentor less experienced team members. Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

* 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.

* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

* Advanced proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.

* Practical knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.

* Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

* Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.

* Knowledge and hands-on experience with networking protocols, hardware/software interface issues, and system/subsystem integration.

* Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in systems engineering, cybersecurity, and computer networking.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve hardware/software interface issues effectively, as well as identify capability gaps.

* The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Qualifications We Prefer:
* Knowledge of system integration lab operation to include hardware in the loop (HWIL) design

* Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and tools, including continuous integration and deployment, automation, and monitoring

* Experience with virtualized and containerized environment architecture, setup, administration and deployment (e.g., vSphere, Proxmox, RHEL KVM, Open Shift)

* ISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ Certification

* Familiar with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.

* Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.

* Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB.

* Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to, requirements management, MBSE.
