Our client, a global technology company specializing in advanced positioning, sensing, and automation solutions for industrial and off‑highway applications, is seeking a Lead Electronic Verification & Validation Engineer. In this role, you will lead validation efforts for cutting‑edge inertial measurement units (IMUs) and electronic sensing systems used in rugged, real‑world environments.
This position plays a critical role in bridging digital design with physical performance—ensuring products meet the highest standards of reliability, durability, and quality in demanding operating conditions.
Job DescriptionThe Lead Electronic Verification & Validation Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing comprehensive validation strategies for electronic sensing systems. This role drives structured, risk‑based validation practices and supports product development from concept through release.
Key Responsibilities Validation Planning & Strategy- Develop and maintain Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) documentation
- Translate system requirements, risk assessments, and FMEA outputs into validation strategies
- Define acceptance criteria and ensure full validation coverage
- Plan and execute validation activities across simulation, lab testing, hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL), environmental testing, and field validation
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external testing partners
- Ensure test readiness, proper documentation, and high‑quality execution
- Review validation results for accuracy, completeness, and traceability
- Provide technical recommendations and feedback based on findings
- Support product release decisions by ensuring validation objectives are met
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems engineering teams
- Align validation plans with program timelines and resource availability
- Drive continuous improvement of validation processes, workflows, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of electronic product development processes
- Experience with verification and validation methodologies and reliability engineering principles
- Familiarity with FMEA and risk‑based validation approaches
- Demonstrated ability to develop and own DVP&R activities
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills across engineering, lab, and program teams
- Experience tracking non‑conformances and driving effective resolution of validation failures
- Experience with IMUs, MEMS sensors, or similar electronic sensing technologies
- Background in off‑highway, heavy equipment, or ruggedized systems
- Experience in reliability, durability, or environmental testing
- Hands‑on experience with lab testing, field validation, or machine‑level testing environments
