Position Summary

The Coordinator for Training position exists to provide support for Unmanned Aerial System ( UAS ) and Advanced Air Mobility ( AAM ) initiatives within the college. The position facilitates and accomplishes UAS and AAM related training organization, facilitation, and instruction for flight operations, software, hardware, and applications in non-credit instruction through online, in-person, and blended or hybrid modalities. The position works for the Associate Director for Advanced Air Mobility Training, Unmanned Aerial Systems.

The potential minimum compensation for this position begins at $50,695.00 and is commensurate with education and experience.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Plan and organize training events for UAS and AAM related training organization, facilitation, and instruction for flight operations, software, hardware, and applications in non-credit instruction through online, in-person, and blended or hybrid modalities
  • Facilitate and support the execution of UAS and AAM related training organization, facilitation, and instruction for flight operations, software, hardware, and applications in non-credit instruction through online, in-person, and blended or hybrid modalities
  • Support broader UAS Department activities including flight testing, outreach, and consulting
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Director for Advanced Air Mobility Training
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant work experience, UAS or related industries required
  • Experience planning, supporting, and executing UAS and AAM related training and instruction required
  • UAS operation flight experience on a variety of small UAS required
  • Completion of UAS or AAM Original Equipment Manufacturer ( OEM ) authorized training certifications preferred
  • Completion of UAS or AAM related data analytics software authorized training certifications preferred
  • Completion of UAS or AAM related modeling and simulation software authorized training certifications preferred
  • Background in general aviation technologies and operations preferred
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and individually with limited oversight required
  • Strong PC skills, including standard office tools and industry specific software packages required
  • Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills, including experience in preparing and delivering reports and presentations required
  • Ability to read, research, and comprehend technical and regulatory documents required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a wide variety of technical and operations projects preferred
  • Current Remote Pilot Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) required
  • Any level of a current traditional aircraft Pilot Certificate issued by the FAA preferred
  • Current or ability to obtain a FAA Second Class Medical preferred
  • U.S. Passport preferred
