FPGA Engineer
HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking a FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing FPGA-based solutions for cutting-edge projects in various domains, including signal processing. This position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio and is within a commutable distance from Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside.

Job Responsibilities:
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Position requires interest in either Radar or Electronic Warfare System design and/or testing.
- Interest in EW and Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Sensor System Integration and Test, and Electronic Warfare and Radar Performance Analysis Tools such as MATLAB is required.
- Hands-on test, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking.
- Support technical publications in developing for customer releases test planning, test procedures, and test reports.
- Support technical and functional leadership through the identification of risk.
- Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able and willing to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
- Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks Secret clearance minimum to start. - Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
