What you will be doing:

We are looking for a FEA Validation Engineer to support Automotive product development involving chassis / suspension, structural components, support structures through FEA / CAE analysis, physical testing, and simulation-to-test correlation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop FEA / CAE models and perform structural analysis to support automotive component validation
  • Plan and coordinate validation testing based on customer and engineering requirements
  • Perform FEA-to-test correlation, analyze results, identify root causes, and recommend design improvements
  • Develop test methods, fixtures/jigs, validation plans, procedures, and engineering reports ork with design engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams from development through production launch

Manage project schedules and communicate technical results and recommendations to customers.

What you'll need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 1+ years of FEA, CAE, validation, or automotive engineering experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FEA and finite element modeling.
  • Experience with Hyper Mesh/Hyper Works and Abaqus;
    Nastran experience preferred.
  • Experience with physical testing, data acquisition, fatigue analysis, or FEA-test correlation preferred.
  • Strong technical communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
  • Must be able to work in the Dayton, Ohio area.
