We're hiring Mass Properties Engineers, Level II & III to support an aircraft retrofit program in Dayton Ohio
.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with aircraft inventory, 3D models, suppliers, engineering teams, and the production floor.
What you'll be doing:- Calculate and analyze aircraft mass properties
- Build and validate mass properties models
- Inventory and weigh aircraft
- Perform 3D analysis and review supplier data
- Work across engineering, suppliers, and the floor
- Help drive work from problem -> solution
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers
Level II
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
Strong experience with mass properties is important.
Experience with
SAWE is highly valued.
Tools include:
- NX
- 3DX
- CATIA
The best people for this team are self-starters who can take ownership of a problem, figure things out, and keep work moving without needing constant direction.
You should also be approachable and comfortable working with people across engineering and the shop floor.
Security clearance:Ability to obtain a clearance. Processing starts immediately.
Aerospace or defense experience is strongly preferred.
A bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in place of the degree.
