Model Systems Engineer, MBSE

• View and understand complex systems, including their interactions and dependencies
• Use SysML or other modeling languages and tools to create and analyze system models
• Manage and trace requirements throughout the product lifecycle
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex engineering problems
• Assess system aspects and foresee potential issues or improvements
• Ensure system models and requirements are accurate and complete
• Manage systems and requirements through product lifecycle stages from concept to deployment and beyond
• Handle changes to system requirements and designs while managing scope and project impacts
• Convey technical information to stakeholders, team members, and external partners
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and integrate diverse perspectives and expertise
• Address customer needs and ensure systems meet or exceed customer expectations
• Adapt models and designs to evolving requirements and new challenges
• Stay updated with systems engineering, modeling tools, and methodologies
• Develop innovative system models and solutions
• Identify and implement improvements to modeling processes and systems engineering practices

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in a related field; 0 years experience with Master’s in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Knowledge or interest in SysML and UML
• Knowledge or interest in MATLAB
• Knowledge or interest in any programming language
• Knowledge or interest in Linux
• Understanding of systems engineering principles
• Experience with Cameo System Modeler or other comparable tools
• Experience with requirements management tools such as JAMA or DOORS
• Ability to work independently
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Secret clearance to start
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks
• Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
• Lifting and moving materials may be required

Demonstrates expertise in systems engineering principles, including the use of SysML and UML for modeling and analyzing complex systems. Proficient in managing requirements throughout the product lifecycle and effectively communicating technical information to diverse stakeholders.
