Test Engineer, Systems Engineer
Contribute to the Hangar Capability Development Team to validate, verify, test, and develop requirements for open-air range and laboratory systems
Plan and execute requirements verification via testing with senior technical staff and the U.S. Government customer
Lead requirements verification activities with the PM, Technical Lead, Cap Dev engineers, and vendor engineers
Attend project technical meetings and review technical and project documentation
Design test cases and procedures for commonality across test infrastructure and capabilities
Develop models and guidelines for current and future system development efforts
Identify and communicate potential issues, risks, and concerns to the PM and Technical Lead
Review engineering design documents for acceptance criteria and analyze system-level architectures
Author technical reports and provide recommendations to DoD senior leadership
Support technical interchange meetings and provide feedback to vendors on requirements verification testing methodologies
Write and participate in verification, qualification, and acceptance tests for large system builds
Support, maintain, and document functionality for future software and firmware updates
Support and collaborate with Cap Dev partners
Travel up to 25%
Requirements- 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; 0 years experience with a PhD in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
- 2+ years of engineering experience, including systems engineering, EW Testing, electronic design, software development, system integration, V&V testing, and/or test and failure analysis
- Proficient technical writing skills to generate technical documents, presentations, and reports
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to interact with technical peers and work as part of a team
- Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on EW test experience
- Minimum Secret clearance required to start
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with enhanced security checks
- Familiarity and experience with HALT, HASS, and EMI testing
- Test experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with DoD sensor and weapon system engineering, development, and requirements verification
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
Demonstrates expertise in requirements verification, testing methodologies, and technical documentation within the defense sector. Proficient in systems engineering, electronic design, and hands‑on EW testing, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
