Position: Player Services Cashier - Full Time

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures
  • Efficiently and accurately process all pari‑mutuel wages in the tote
  • Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statutes
  • Write sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner
  • Create and enter player tracking information
  • Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets
  • Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
  • Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash‑handling policies
  • Process cash transactions for gaming customers and employees (includes cashing TITO tickets, personal checks, markers, traveler’s checks, lottery tickets, exchange currency, and processing cash advance transactions)
  • Be knowledgeable and comply with Title 31
  • Enroll patrons into the loyalty program, issue patrons loyalty program player cards, maintain accurate player tracking information, answer questions about patron’s accounts, and assist the Marketing Department with all gaming promotions
  • Counts down bank or window at end of each shift and reconciles to the draw
  • Completes a blind drop on all revenues collected during the shift
  • Operates assigned bank or window according to department and regulatory policies
  • Completes all required shift paperwork according to internal control
  • Records any applicable cash transactions that are required by Federal Law
  • Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and provides information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary
  • Manages difficult guest situations; responds promptly to guest needs; seeks guest feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments
  • Stocks stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and organized

Requirements
  • Must be 21 or older
  • General cashiering background or prior money‑handling experience
  • Previous experience in race and sports book
  • Working knowledge of
  • Knowledge of tote system to place customer
  • Must have previous experience with jet sort, coin roller, check cashing and credit card cash advance
  • Efficiency and accuracy when entering guests wagers and paying out
  • Variances within standards according to department variance
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when
  • Ability to learn and comply with department, property and regulatory policy
  • Other duties, as assigned
