Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Senior Payroll Administrator in Dayton, OH

Hybrid - Dayton, OH 45424 Pay rate: $35-$37/hr Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and manage payroll taxes using ADP, Smart Compliance, WFN, and Workday.
  • Oversee multi-state and international payroll tax compliance, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Audit payroll and tax-related matters, including W-2s, resolving discrepancies and agency notices.
  • Calculate and process retroactive tax adjustments; file amendments (W-2c) as needed.
  • Research and implement updates to payroll systems and procedures based on new legislation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for internal, external, and government audits.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger and tax liability accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of year-end forms (W-2s, etc.).
  • Identify areas for process improvement and leverage technology to enhance payroll efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or Associate’s with 5+ years of payroll tax experience.
  • CPP/FPC Certification preferred.
  • Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
