Payroll Processor

- Associate's or Bachelors in Finance/Accounting
- 5 years of experience in Payroll Tax or CPP/FPC Certification.
- Strong full lifecycle payroll processing experience
- Workday
- ADP Smart Compliance
- Tax Compliance and Filing and Reconciling - overseeing and managing all aspects of multi-state and international payroll tax compliance, reporting, and reconciliation. This role ensures accuracy, resolves complex tax issues, and stays current with ever-changing regulations
- Issue Resolution and Auditing tax related matters and W2's.
- Research and Analysis Staying abreast of new and changing tax legislation and compliance requirements, and implementing necessary updates to payroll systems and procedures.
- Calculating and processing retroactive tax adjustments and filing amendments (W-2c's) as needed.
- Identifying areas for process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance payroll tax efficiency and data management.
- Collabration with cross functioning teams ensuring accurate processing and compliance.
- Accurate and Timely Tax Filings:
Confirmed submission of all required federal, state, and local tax filings by statutory deadlines. - Reconciled Accounts:
Fully reconciled payroll general ledger accounts and tax liability accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. - Audit Documentation:
Comprehensive and organized documentation readily available for internal, external, and government audits. - Resolved Agency Notices:
Timely and complete resolution of all tax agency notices and penalties. - Updated Systems/Procedures:
Implemented changes in payroll software/systems and documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) reflecting current legislative requirements. - Year-End Forms:
Verified and distributed year-end tax statements (W-2s, etc.) accurately and on schedule.
